Our History

M2M Group’s story is a success story that has started more than 30 years ago placing the company as an actor of reference in:

-Multichannel electronic payments services,

-Dematerialization of governments and public services flows and procedures,

-Transport ticketing,

-Solutions for issuing and managing biometric IDs and passports,

-Issuing of transport documents,

-Digitization of university services and student card programmes,

-HRIS.

Over the years, M2M Group has experienced exponential and continuous growth and evolution.

2015-Today

M2M Group integrates new technologies and launches a series of innovations in Open Payment, Mobile NFC, tokenization, strong authentication, among others.

In 2017, M2M Group obtained the Casablanca Finance City (CFC) status, enabling it to consolidate its position as a major technology partner in the Moroccan and African financial sector.

M2M Group opens to new markets and obtains contracts in Asia and Oceania.

In parallel, M2M Group launches NAPS, its financial institution subsidiary licensed by the Central Bank of Morocco, as a prepaid issuer and multichannel acquirer aiming to boost the use of electronic payment means and accelerate financial inclusion: Know more about NAPS.

2010-2015

M2M Group confirms its diversification strategy and delivers a suite of MX™ solutions across a broad range of business models enabling private and public sector actors to benefit from the digital age, from convenience, safety and cost-effectiveness.

The diversification strategy has enabled M2M Group to consolidate its position in e-payments and eGov sectors, and to conquer new markets in the areas of ticketing and multi-service student cards.

2005-2010

M2M Group expanded its positioning to the emerging e-gov market and won large-scale e-gov projects. Since 2007, M2M Group has been publicly traded. The same year, M2M Group became a member of the United Nations Global Compact on Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development.

In 2009, M2M Group introduced a new product portfolio, covering the ticketing market.

In 2010, M2M Group took advantage of R&D developments and brought major innovations in the areas of contactless payments, NFC payment, mobile identity control and contactless ticketing.

2000-2005

A period particularly marked by the consolidation of growth, mainly through acquisitions and investments.

M2M Group acquired a software development company specializing in IBM AS/400 systems, and then acquired the ATM switching business from T-Systems France.

At a technological level, M2M Group has generalized the Ntiers architecture and deployed first innovations related to contactless technologies.

1995-2000 : First Visa, MasterCard & Diners Club certifications.

1990-1995

M2M Group focused on R&D and launched its first projects based on smart cards in closed environments.

In terms of its core business, the company has operated effectively in different regions and carried out projects in Eastern Europe and North Africa.

1990 : M2M Group was founded in Casablanca, Morocco.
